How To Use Hoot Suite

Hey guys, I wanted to give you a quick tutorial on how to use Hoot Suite to pre-schedule your tweets and Facebook postings. There are multiple ways to schedule posts and tweets to go out at certain times of the day but my favorite is Hoot Suite (mainly because I just adore owls).

Start off by going to Hoot Suite and signing in with Facebook. You can choose to log in however you want, but for ease of this tutorial we're going with Facebook.

Next you need to go to the side panel and click your name so that it will bring up the page shown below. Click where the arrow is pointing to connect yourself to the social media you choose, in this case Facebook.

When it opens, choose Facebook and click connect. 

After you've been connected to Facebook, you need to add the page you want things to be posted onto.

All ready to begin posting!

To schedule a post or tweet, go to the top of the page as seen below. The first arrow shows where you will put the body of the message and the second allows you to pick which social network you want it to post on.

To compose your message, simply click on it and write in what you want it to say. You can put links either directly in the compose box or if you want to shorten it, paste it into the box that gives you the option to shorten it. Click shorten if that's your thing and your Tweet or Post will appear.

See that handy dandy little calendar in the picture above? Click that and choose when you want it to show up. 

Now click post! This is what it will look like when it's all said and done.

Twitter is done the same way, just connect your Twitter account the same way as Facebook and choose that option for where you want this to post to.
